Music will save us all.

Folk rock seems to be coming back and back and back.  I can understand the staying power.  Everyone thinks they’ve just discovered the new hometown hero.
I can understand that.  I feel like that every night that I go out (except my hometown heroes are real, bitches).
Infused heavily with lots of religious imagery, the “Fathers Be Kind” EP by Seattle indie/folk duo Ivan & Alyosha is simple and beautiful, but not really anything new.  It’s a bit more palatable than the forced dramaticism of Mumford & Sons, but does not contain the amount of depth lyrically that one would expect from an indie-folk group that clearly has great control over their sound and songwriting.
