Everyone hates summer.

They do. It’s a fact. Do not question. That’s why we latch onto spring so much—it’s like summer, except less lonely.

Typically, a lot of good things happen during spring: flowers bloom, animals have babies, people graduate, and of course, Austin plays host for the South by Southwest Music/Film/Interactive Festival.

When I lived in Austin, I was never able to take part in the SXSW zoo. Buying a wristband does not guarantee entrance to the shows you would want to see, and the price for a music badge is way out of the realm of a newly graduated, struggling 20-something.

But now I’m here, I’ve got a badge, and I’m ready to kick SXSW’s ass.
