Things That Make Me Happy #1: LOLcats
It’s a pretty simple concept, akshually. I don’t know how we did not think of this sooner—funny pictures of kittehs with captions which are hilariously misspelled and use poor grammar as a means of conveying a manner of speech unique to the LOLcats (IT’S ALMOST LIKE THEY’RE SPEAKING DIRECTLY TO ME!1!!!11!!!). There is a mythology that has developed (ceiling cat, basement cat, monorail cat, cheezburgers, “itteh bitteh kitteh comitteh,” etc) so you may have to go to the beginning of the postings to really figure out what is going on, but as a quick start guide, I shall give you, dear reader, a few tips:
Cheezburgers are the holy grail. It’s what every kitteh wants.
kitteh = cat
ceiling cat = God
basement cat - the Devil
“teh” = “the”
The posts are updated every day with about 3 or 4 new cats. Go there. It will make you laff out lowd. You can also create your own LOL’s through the online “LOL-creator.”
